Next Gen Fellows Program

Calling all Next Gen philanthropists! The Next Gen Fellows Program of the Association of Small Foundations (ASF) is now accepting applications for its June - December 2014 program.

What is it?

The program is an exclusive 6-month training fellowship that helps next gen philanthropists learn from field leaders about the philanthropic sector, including best practices and emerging trends to inform their giving. The fellowship aims to help participants practice new skills in a safe and encouraging environment, set a personal learning agenda to address identified gaps, and develop a supportive peer group to call on for future advice and ideas. Jen Bokoff, our director of GrantCraft, is on the faculty for this program.

Who can apply?

The Next Gen Fellows Program is open to members of the next generation (ages 18–35) who are currently or soon-to-be involved in foundations as trustees or staff.  All roles and all types of foundations are welcome.

How do you apply?

Participation is by online application only, and space is limited to ensure a first-rate experience for all involved. Applications will be reviewed to ensure that participants meet age guidelines and are currently or soon-to-be trustees or staff in a foundation. As the cohort is filled, all applications will be assessed to ensure a diverse range of experience, foundation types, and geography. ASF will also consider the fit between applicants’ learning objectives and program design. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. For more information visit ASF's website.
