Philanthropy leadership for Post-2015 in Kenya

On November 21st 2014, the Post 2015 Partnership Platform for Philanthropy convened 80 participants from the philanthropic sector, UN system, civil society, business and government to expand the dialogue toward a more systemic approach to development challenges, exchange and deepen understanding across sectors, glean priorities for data collection and use, and sow the seeds for deeper collaboration on the Post-2015 Development Agenda.

The workshop provided an opportunity to discuss themes such as financial inclusion and youth employment, education, and women’s rights and empowerment.

Foundation Center’s role in the Partnership is to build the SDGfunders portal which will launch in late summer 2015. The portal will show philanthropic flows globally toward the MDG and SDG goals, bring together stories around successful grantmaking and programs as well as provide a “community center” where donors can discuss issues around support for the goals.  If you are interested in knowing more, please sign up here for updates. If you would like more information about how to support this project by joining a growing community of data providers please email me at [email protected].
