Call for Papers: Share What You’ve Learned About Immigration Funding

Are you funding immigration-related work? Do you wish you could know what other funders have learned along the way? Wouldn’t it be nice to have easy access to a collection of lessons learned on immigration and migration funding strategies?

IssueLab, a service of Foundation Center, is working with The Atlantic Philanthropies to systematically capture and share lessons learned from the last 15 years of funding in the area of migration and immigration rights.

The progress and impact of funding in the immigration field has been significant, and our collective intelligence about this work is invaluable. But this intelligence is currently shared in mostly ad hoc ways that make it difficult to access, search and analyze at an aggregate level.

We are hoping that you can contribute any case studies, lessons learned, or evaluations on this subject that you may have funded or produced. The collection will focus on lessons learned about strategies and tactics, not analyses of the issues of immigration or migration per se (this field has a wealth of research and policy organizations that already deliver this value).

Simply send a link or an actual file to [email protected] by February 11th and we will do the rest of the work!

This collective effort will result in a public online collection of lessons learned launching this spring. It can be continuously and freely added to over time by foundations and their grantees. Whether you are doing a scan or exploring a new funding strategy, you will be able to benefit from the knowledge and insights shared in this collection.
